Allow and Accept

This morning my client described her experience when her companion rubbed her feet. "I could only see the top of her head, not what she was doing. She usually moves so fast but holding my feet she took her time, caressing them, loving me. I felt honored by her attention and her kindness and her gentleness. I let myself receive her love."

The presence that they each practiced made the moment sacred. Her openness to receiving completed a Universal circle. What is sweeter or more pure than humans genuinely caring about each other in their vulnerability? Nothing else mattered at that moment.

She continued, "Sometimes I have little fits. I whine and I say, This isn't right! I don't want this!" She smiled at her frustration. "Control isn't a relevant word for me now. I know I'm having the experience that's right for me. I don't know why it's right or what I'm learning but I trust life. I savor each second and I realize that everything is fine. I'm having this experience of being in bed because it's what I need. I don't understand why but I realize that things happen because it's right that they do. I don't have to think. I just have to allow and accept."

Gentleness blankets us when we stop thinking. We allow ourselves to be ourselves and to accept the moment just as it is. We experience what it is to be alive. And we let that be enough.
